Version 3.01, dated 07.12.2000.
That is how Dmitry Mostovoy,
ADinf family programs development team leader,
has commented on the release of the new version:
"Sticking to the line of the version 3.00,
we did our best to render the usage of our programs
convenient and to make antivirus check automatic. Version 3.01
has an option of simple inspector launch with profile selection and
an option of scheduling the launches added. It is no secret that as
the size of the hard disk grows it takes more and more time to check
viruses. Now you have an opportunity to postpone the checks for your
off-hours (for example, at night time). ADinf will be launched
automatically at a given time and, having
scanner (McAfee, AVP or Dr.Web) interface
enabled, it will check all the modifications by scanning.
Besides, in the new version many minor bugs are corrected and
improvements are made in order to support Windows ME operating system
and such new equipment as SCSI magneto-optical drives."
Improvements:
- Scheduler that allows you to launch ADinf32 by using a timetable.
If you never turn your computer off, you can schedule ADinf32
to check your system automatically during off-hours, for example,
lunch time or night time.
Next morning you'll see the results
produced by ADinf32, and (if the selected profile enables
the antivirus scanner interface)
the results produced by the antivirus scanner.
- Memory-Resident Agent allowing you to start ADinf32 easily with any
profile -- by clicking on the agent's icon in the System Tray.
- SCSI magneto-optical drives support.
- Windows ME support.

2 v3.00
